Today IndieProse.com invites self-published and small press authors to join a community dedicated to the professional indie author. Until recently the idea of a professional indie author may have been an oxymoron, but with advances in digital printing and electronic books, it's possible for indie authors to make a living. We are here to identify and serve the best of the indie authors and to help indie-spirited readers find fantastic books. We believe the celebrity author culture exists in part because readers don't have enough credible sources to find compelling books from indie voices.
As more editors, proofreaders, and cover designers freelance there are more choices than ever for the indie author. IndieProse members refer excellent service providers to our community and IndieProse.com reaches out to printers, advertisers and others to create special opportunities exclusively for IndieProse members. It is our mission to level the playing field and help you compete by opening doors long closed to self-published authors.
We welcome you to become a founding member of IndieProse.com. We are running a special offer for 2010 and 2011. New members will enjoy the right to reserve blog space on IndieProse.com 6 months in advance to coordinate blog postings on IndieProse with book launches and other media releases. This special access will be valid for 4 years beginning the day your author profile is posted to IndieProse.com. Members joining after 2011 will be allowed to reserve space on the IndieProse blog 1 month in advance on a first-come, first-served basis.
